The Miami Dolphins have a chance to bring in a player with a heck of a lot of NFL experience.
How does 72 career sacks and four Pro Bowl selections sound?
That’s Matthew Judon, and he’s visiting Miami on Monday.
According to NFL insider Aaron Wilson, Judon “is expected to join them, barring anything unforseen.”
Judon, 33, has spent the offseason as a free agent awaiting the right opportunity.
He was once a fifth-round pick by the Baltimore Ravens in 2016 from Division II Grand Valley State, and he’s made the most of his journey.

Judon spent his first five seasons with Baltimore, recording 34.5 sacks.
He became his best self in his three seasons with the New England Patriots that followed, in which he had 32 total sacks. That included seasons of 15.5 and 12.5 sacks.
Judon went to the Atlanta Falcons for 2024. He played all 17 games and had 41 tackles, including 5.5 sacks.
The edge rusher isn’t the player he once was, but he’s still worth having in the rotation for a team that hopes to contend.

The Dolphins know that in a division with talented and mobile QBs like Josh Allen, Drake Maye and Justin Fields, it could be huge to have a veteran presence like Judon who not only knows how to get after the passer but also how to contain quarterbacks who can run like that trio.
It’s not a done deal yet, but it sounds like it’s probably trending that way. If the Dolphins and Judon get a contract over the finish line, it’ll be a key mid-August move for Miami to try and make noise this season in the AFC East.
