The Los Angeles Dodgers will be without star outfielder Teoscar Hernández for a while after the slugger suffered an injury.
Hernández left the Dodgers’ 7-4 win on May 5 after feeling tightness in his hamstring. The slugger was placed on the 10-day IL, but it appears he will be out for the foreseeable future.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts spoke to the media and revealed Hernández has a Grade-1 adductor strain. According to Roberts, there is no timeline for a return, but the manager says Hernández will be ‘inactive for a while.’
After Hernández left the game with the injury, Roberts admitted he was concerned, given the slugger doesn’t usually come out of games injured.

“He’s a guy that just doesn’t come out of games by way of injury,” Roberts said. “That’s a little concerning given the person.”
Hernández signed a three-year, $66 million deal, with a club option for a fourth year, with the Dodgers to return to Los Angeles in the offseason.
The outfielder was a key part of the Dodgers’ team that won the World Series last season as he hit .272 with 33 home runs and 99 RBIs. To begin this season, Hernandez is hitting .315, who 9 home runs and 34 RBIs to begin the 2025 Major League Baseball season.
Hernández is a two-time MLB All-Star and three-time Silver Slugger Award winner.
