Diego Simeone pushes for one more arrival at Atletico Madrid

Atletico Madrid was very active in the transfer window, adding players like Alex Baena and Giacomo Raspadori while also making several sales. The club has boosted its attacking depth and may target another signing before the window closes.

Mundo Deportivo reports that Diego Simeone is seeking another attacking midfielder for the new season. He wants a player with strong dribbling skills, and the club reportedly has two candidates in mind.

One player that has been recently linked with a move to Atletico Madrid is Nico Gonzalez from Juventus. The Argentinian winger is a realistic option for Atleti, but the Spanish club has yet to make a bid for the player.

Atletico Madrid CEO Gil Marin has his eye on two players that not only fits Simeone’s preferred type of player, but also opens doors to a big market that can bring multiple fans to the club.

Take Kubo and Kang In Lee are Atletico Madrid Targets

Javi Gomara from Mundo Deportivo reports that Atletico Madrid CEO Gil Marin is a fan of Real Sociedad attacker Take Kubo, who used to play for FC Barcelona’s La Masia and was at Real Madrid. Kubo’s contract is until 2029, but if he’s sold this summer, Real Madrid will expect to receive a percentage of the transfer fee.

Kubo has a 60 million euro release clause, and if triggered, Real Madrid would receive around 30 million euros, according to Marca.

Gil Marin is also looking at Kang-in Lee, who is currently at PSG but has experience in La Liga, after playing for Valencia and Mallorca.

The report suggests that Atletico could benefit from signing an Asian player this summer as Gil Marin believes bringing one can open an important market for the club.
