The Golden State Warriors need to strengthen their roster. After injuries to Stephen Curry and Jimmy Butler revealed some of their weaknesses in the 2025 NBA playoffs, the team entered this offseason with some roster holes to fill.
And yet, nine days after its beginning, the Warriors’ free agency transaction list remains empty.
The headlines have been full of Warriors rumors about the team being “close” to signing Al Horford or that they’ve been “considered” by Bradley Beal.
However, no pen has been put to paper on a single offseason contract signing.

This has many in DubNation furious.
As the top free agent candidates are slowly being taken off the board, Warriors fans are worried that by the time the team takes action, there won’t be any quality players left.
At this point, they are already dangerously close to the bottom of the barrel. If the Warriors can’t sign Al Horford, the center options are very slim.
This is why some fans are starting to freak out.
While the rest of the Western Conference is loading up for another hyper-competitive season, the Warriors are likely going to be running it back.
It may not all be that bad. When healthy, the Warriors’ core of Curry, Butler, and Draymond Green showed flashes of brilliance. If the young players improve and the Warriors are able to either get production or good value in a Kuminga trade before the deadline, they could be in OK shape to make a championship run.

Still, it is worrisome that no players were dying to sign with the Warriors at the start of free agency.
