Derrick Henry has offer to be in Adam Sandler movie if Ravens RB can accomplish historic feat

Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry has accomplished a ton during his NFL career, but could he add movie star to his impressive resume?

Henry was a guest on the “Dan Patrick Show” on Wednesday and Patrick promised to get Henry into an Adam Sandler movie if he can accomplish a specific feat.

That feat is Henry rushing for 2,000 yards in 2025. Of course, Henry has already accomplished that feat once, but nobody in NFL history has ever done it twice.

“If you get to 2,000 yards, I’ll get you in a Sandler movie,” Patrick promised.

“Alright, cool, say no more,” Henry said. “Remember that now.”

“I’ll take care of my end of it,” Patrick, who is friends with Sandler, said. “I mean, mine’s easy. Yours is hard.”

Henry has already shown his acting chops with countless commercials over the years, so he’s got the goods to have a movie role.

Henry’s 2,000-yard season was in 2020, when he rushed for 2,027 with the Tennessee Titans.

The five-time Pro Bowler was on pace to do it again in 2021 before he suffered a broken foot that knocked him out of the rest of the regular season.

Normally, we’d scoff at the idea of a running back over the age of 30 rushing for 2,000 yards, but Henry is no normal human being. He completely broke the mold during the 2024 campaign, when he rushed for 1,921 yards in his age-30 season.

That said, Henry will still have to make NFL history to get his role. Nine players in league history have broken the incredible number, but none of those players have done it twice.

As if Henry needed more motivation to rush for 2,000 yards this coming season, he now has it.
