Daytona 500 field 2025: Full list of drivers and starting lineup, from Bubba Wallace to Jimmie Johnson

NASCAR’s best and brightest drivers will take part in one of the grandest events in the American motorsports calendar, the Daytona 500.

The storied event has few peers in the world of sports. It’s frantic but controlled, defined by late-race passes, captivating pit strategy and wrecks — lots and lots of wrecks.

Across the contest’s 67-year history, plenty of supernovas have made their mark. From Richard Petty, Cale Yarborough and Bobby Allison to Joey Logano, Denny Hamlin and William Byron, legends old and new have danced beneath the confetti in victory lane.

Another name will be added to that collection in 2025. Here’s a look at the potential drivers slated to participate in the Great American Race.

Where is the Daytona 500 raced?

The Daytona 500 takes place at Daytona International Speedway, a 102,000-seat behemoth that features one of NASCAR’s largest tracks.

Drivers traverse around a 2 1/2-mile gauntlet at speeds upwards of 140 miles per hour.

Opened in 1959, Daytona International Speedway has played host to 67 Daytona 500s. The venue also hosts the Rolex 24 as well as various ARCA, AMA Superbike, SCCA and AMA Supercross races.

Who won the Daytona 500 in 2024?

William Byron hoisted the Daytona 500 title in 2024, besting fellow Hendrick Motorsports standout Alex Bowman after a pair of late-race wrecks felled half of the field.

Byron’s win represented Hendrick Motorsports’ ninth Daytona 500 title and first since Dale Earnhardt Jr. took home the prize a decade earlier.
