Dani Ceballos pushing Real Madrid departure as Marseille remain interested

Real Madrid may lose another player this summer as Dani Ceballos is rumored to leave the club on a permanent deal. Ceballos surprised fans with his previous social media post on Instagram, suggesting the game against Real Oviedo was his last match playing for Real Madrid.

He wrote, “Last dance” under an image of himself playing against Real Oviedo over the weekend. New reports suggest that his new club could be Olympique Marseille in France.

Matteo Moretto and Fabrizio Romano report that Marseille are interested in Ceballos this summer, and the midfielder is open to the move.

Real Madrid will consider selling Ceballos for around 15 million euros, but the price tag has caused Marseille to consider other options.

Dani Ceballos’ Effort to Seal Marseille Move

Although there is yet to be an agreement between Marseille and Real Madrid, Ceballos appears very interested in joining the French club and wants to leave Real Madrid this week.

Romano and Moretto report that Ceballos wants to join Marseille and is hopeful that Real Madrid and the French club can find a solution in terms of the transfer fee. A deal could be done in the next few days.

ESPN reports that Ceballos wants the move because he aims to play in the World Cup with Spain next summer and wants more playing time. Real Madrid wants a fee of around 15 million euros and will plan to bring in a replacement.

Diario AS reports that Xabi Alonso has expressed his desire for another midfielder if Dani Ceballos leaves. Real Madrid would have five first-team midfielders if Ceballos leaves.
