The Detroit Lions have enjoyed success over the past few seasons and seem to be on the cusp of winning a Super Bowl.
They haven’t gotten over the hump just yet, but if things break their way, the Lions could be a team that wins it all.
It’ll all start with Jared Goff, who has shown promise when he’s at his best. However, Goff, despite being one of the better quarterbacks in the league, has some down moments.
When Goff struggles, it isn’t a pretty thing to watch.
Speaking to the media, head coach Dan Campbell sent a strong message to his quarterback, adding that he believes Goff will continue to do what he does.
“Growth? Look, he continues to grow every year,” Campbell said, according to the team. “And I’d say the next step for him — and he knows this every year, like last year, he came to us, everything we wanted him to do in the offense he did. And then he began to bring stuff to us.”

Goff has shown Campbell he’s willing to learn. As a veteran, he could think he knows it all, but that isn’t the case, and that’s a promising sign for the Lions.
“Hey man, I can see this look. Let me get to this play. I know I’ve got these options in the bag, but let me get to this as well. Those are the things where he’s, ‘OK, here we go man.’ That’s beginning to show. And I would anticipate that to take another step up.”
