The Detroit Lions and Minnesota Vikings squared off for all the marbles in Week 18 and the Lions managed to pull off the victory in convincing fashion, beating their division rivals, 31-9.
The win was massive for the Lions, who have now clinched the No. 1 seed in the NFC, which gives them home-field advantage and a first-round bye. Meanwhile, Minnesota will have a road game to play on Wild Card Weekend against the Los Angeles Rams.
When Lions head coach Dan Campbell and Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell met on the field after the game for their handshake, Campbell made a prediction that had everyone buzzing.
Campbell told O’Connell “I’ll see you in two weeks,” which clearly means Campbell expects the Vikings to win next week against the Rams. However, the Lions and Vikings having a rematch in the divisional round isn’t that cut and dry.

The Lions will face the lowest remaining seed in the divisional round, and the Vikings (No. 5) are one of four possibilities for Detroit. The other three are the Washington Commanders (No. 6), Green Bay Packers (No. 7) and Los Angeles Rams (No. 4), who square off against the Vikings.
But in order for the Lions and Vikings to get a rematch in two weeks, the Vikings have to win and the Philadelphia Eagles and Tampa Bay Buccaneers must emerge victorious in their games. Philadelphia (No. 2) faces the Packers, while the Bucs (No. 3) face the Commanders.
It is quite conceivable for the Commanders to beat Tampa Bay, and the Packers also have a chance against the Eagles, although not as good. The Vikings will likely be favored over the Rams.
