Nottingham will be the place to be when Dalton Smith and Walid Ouizza compete on January 25 for the European super lightweight title. The fight airs on DAZN worldwide.
Smith (16-0) is a former English, British, and Commonwealth super lightweight champion. A three-time medalist at the amateur level, the 27-year-old last fought in March 2024, knocking out former world title challenge Jose Zepeda. He has 12 wins via the power punch.
“Thunder” is ranked second in the WBC rankings at 140 pounds. He believes a win will bring him closer to fighting for world gold.
“Looking forward at the year ahead, a big performance on January 25 will move me forwards to chasing that world title,” Smith said.
“I believe I’m a couple of fights away from the big nights at Hillsborough and selling that out.

Ouizza (19-2) competes in England for the first time. The French fighter is on an eleven-fight win streak and has eight wins via knockout.
