Cristiano Ronaldo set to welcome former rival club boss as Al-Nassr’s new manager

Cristiano Ronaldo might soon be shaking hands with a familiar name — not from past teams, but from past battles.

Al-Nassr are reportedly in talks with Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus, and the two could be working together for the first time.

This move comes after the Saudi club parted ways with Stefano Pioli, who struggled to bring silverware to the team. Pioli joined in 2024 after a strong run with AC Milan.

But despite the early hype, Al-Nassr ended the season with no major trophies. They finished third in the Saudi Pro League and were knocked out of both the King’s Cup and the AFC Champions League.

With Ronaldo apparently set to extend his stay at the club, the decision on the next manager is crucial — and it’s no surprise he might have some input.

A new chapter for Jesus in Saudi alongside Cristiano Ronaldo?

Jorge Jesus is no stranger to Saudi football. He led Al-Hilal to a trophy-filled season, winning the league, King’s Cup, and Super Cup.

He also made headlines by setting a world record — his team won 34 straight matches, the longest winning run in top-flight history. That streak ended in a 4-2 defeat to Al Ain in the Asian Champions League semifinals, but the record still stands.

Now, with Jesus free after leaving Al-Hilal in May, Al-Nassr has entered the race.

Talks are already underway, and the club is keen on landing a manager with experience, discipline, and a taste for trophies. Jesus, at 70, brings all of that.

He once praised Ronaldo, calling him a model professional. Now, the two Portuguese greats could finally join forces — this time, chasing titles from the same dugout.
