Cristiano Ronaldo collabs with Matthew Vaughn to join Hollywood as ‘first release’ coming soon

Cristiano Ronaldo is swapping boots (not literally) for box office, and he’s not doing it alone.

The football icon has teamed up with British director Matthew Vaughn to launch a new film studio called UR•Marv.

That’s right — the same Ronaldo who’s been breaking records on the pitch is now aiming for Hollywood stardom, and his partner-in-crime is the man behind Kingsman and X-Men: First Class. A red card for boredom, if you will.

The duo has already wrapped up two action films under the UR•Marv banner and a third is in the works. Their first release is just around the corner, and fans are waiting like it’s the 90th minute with the score level.

“This is an exciting chapter for me, as I look ahead to new ventures in business,” Ronaldo said in a joint statement.

Matthew Vaughn echoed the excitement, calling Ronaldo a “real-life superhero” and saying,

“Cristiano has created stories on the pitch that I could never have written. I look forward to creating inspiring movies with him.”

Cristiano Ronaldo: From the pitch to the pictures

UR•Marv aims to blend cutting-edge tech with classic cinema vibes. Think old-school storytelling with a digital-era twist. Basically, if Hollywood needed a playmaker, it just signed Ronaldo in the summer window.

The announcement came with a sleek teaser on April 11 — and yes, it broke the internet faster than a Ronaldo free kick. It also showed a shared love for sport, film, and big moments.

Ronaldo, already a media mogul with ventures like UR Cristiano on YouTube and his stake in Medialivre, is clearly building a legacy beyond the game.

Meanwhile, Vaughn continues to flex his creative muscles after Argylle, and shows no signs of slowing down either.

So, football fans, get ready — the man who’s conquered Europe, Arabia, and Instagram is now gunning for Hollywood. And this time, the goal is a blockbuster.
