Is Micah Parsons about to end his holdout? If you listen to Dallas Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer, Cowboys fans may have a reason to feel optimistic.
When asked if he felt Parsons would be with the Cowboys for their season opener against the Philadelphia Eagles, Schottenheimer said he “feels good,” and when a reporter asked with or without an extension, Schottenheimer said the same thing but this time with a wink.
What does that mean? Well, it sounds like maybe the Cowboys and Parsons are about to come to some kind of agreement that could see him back on the field in time for the season opener in two weeks against the Eagles.
There were hints that Parsons and the Cowboys may be ready to talk when there were photos of him and Cowboys owner Jerry Jones’ son Stephen sitting close to one another at practice on Tuesday that were posted, something no one has seen until now.
Another hint was his brother Terrence posting on X how his brother wanted to be back out there with his teammates and how he didn’t want to leave Dallas.
Parsons posted on X a few weeks ago how he wanted to be traded, but Jerry Jones said that was not going to happen, despite rumors to the contrary that several teams were interested in him
Many speculated that Jones would wait until the last minute to sign Parsons just to build up the drama, and from the looks of it, they may be right.
Don’t be surprised if some kind of announcement comes this weekend that Parsons and the Cowboys have a deal that keeps him in a Cowboys uniform at least for this upcoming season, and for Cowboy fans, hopefully longer.
