The Dallas Cowboys might have scraped past the Philadelphia Eagles, but had All-Pro receiver CeeDee Lamb held onto a few more targets, it might have been a bigger winning margin.
Lamb would catch just four of his 11 targets on Sunday as his drop issue against Philadelphia once again reared its ugly head. And they weren’t tough catches by his standards; they were routine ones, and he knows they should have been caught.
As the Kansas City Chiefs come into view for Dallas, Lamb detailed his feelings on his up-and-down performance against the Eagles.
“Disappointed in myself for the most part, obviously because they called my number more, and at the end of the day, that’s all I can ask for,” Lamb said. “Once I see the ball come my way is nobody’s harm but mine to catch the ball. I’m a firm believer in that, and I know me, I know the player I am, I’ll be all right.”

Cowboys need Lamb’s drop issue to fix itself
The only way is through practice, and of course, the most obvious way, catching the ball during a game.
You can bet that Dallas will feature CeeDee heavily in its opening script against the Chiefs in an attempt to get his confidence back to where he can be the damaging All-Pro we know him to be.
And the Chiefs can’t simply double Lamb to make his life even harder, because on the other side is George Pickens, who is in the form of his life, so that will no doubt help CeeDee too.
Dallas is facing a must-win game, and it can’t afford Lamb to have the same drop issues he had against the Eagles, because against the Chiefs, despite their record, they are still a dangerous team, and you have to play near-perfect football to win.
If the Cowboys are to win their third game of the season, Lamb will have to catch a lot of footballs.
