Cowboys’ Dak Prescott ‘confident’ ahead of must-win Chiefs game

The Dallas Cowboys know that while the win over the Philadelphia Eagles was superb, it counts for nothing in Week 13 against the Kansas City Chiefs.

At 5-5-1, the Cowboys are still very much in desperation mode with playoffs still a long way away, even with a win over Kansas City, so pressure is on Brian Schottenheimer’s team to stack wins against the very best just to be a chance.

And don’t worry, the gravity of the situation in front of the Cowboys isn’t lost on Dak Prescott; he knows that it is very much a must-win or go-home time for his team.

“We got to win every game at this point,” Prescott said. “The Philly game doesn’t mean anything right now. Nothing that’s happened up to this point really means anything other than it’s put us in the position to be must-win games. We’re going to give it our best and feel very confident in us.”

Cowboys need CeeDee Lamb firing vs. Chiefs

The Chiefs might not be “the” Chiefs we are used to, but their win over the Indianapolis Colts is proof that Andy Reid’s team, with Patrick Mahomes at the helm, is still as dangerous as ever.

As such, the Cowboys can’t afford to have the mistake-filled game they had against the Eagles, against the Chiefs, and, more importantly, have CeeDee Lamb drop several passes. Dallas has to play a near-perfect game to beat Kansas City, and that might not be enough.

Efficiency is the name of the game on Thursday, and the Cowboys have a chance to not only keep their playoff hopes alive but to potentially end Kansas City’s in the process.

A monster game awaits.
