Como eyeing a move for Real Madrid youngster over similar deal to Nico Paz

Como are looking to build a strong roster for the upcoming season, and they have identified a Castilla star as their primary defensive target in this summer window.

As per recent reports via Fabrizio Romano, Como have identified Jacobo Ramon as their defensive target.

Real Madrid and Como will engage in negotiations once the Club World Cup ends, as Los Blancos are all set to face PSG in the semifinals on Wednesday in New Jersey.

Como, reportedly, are plotting a similar move to Nico Paz, who moved to Italy last summer in a complicated deal.

Paz joined the newly promoted Serie A team for €6m ($7m), but Real Madrid retain 50% of the sell-on fee, meaning Como only half-own the Argentine.

The 20-year-old’s decision to move to Italy proved to be a game-changer as he featured in 34 Serie A matches, netting six goals and providing eight assists in the 2024/25 season.

Como are in the market to sign a couple of defenders, and Ramon is at the top of their shortlist this summer.

Led by Cesc Fabregas, Como are keen to improve on their laurels after finishing 10th in Serie A last season.

Como are linked with some renowned players like Alvaro Morata, Douglas Luiz, Malick Thiaw and Davinson Sanchez, among others.

Who is Castilla star Jacobo Ramon?

Hailing from Madrid, Ramon started his youth career with Los Blancos. He was promoted to Real Madrid Castilla in 2024.

Within a year, Ramon earned a senior cap for Los Blancos during a Champions League clash against RB Salzburg in January 2025.

He made his La Liga debut in May 2025 in a 3-2 win over Celta Vigo. Ramon’s hero moment was when he netted the last-minute winner against Mallorca.

Ramon has been an active member of the Spain U18 and U19 teams. He was also a part of the Spain U19 team for the 2024 U19 European Championships.

The young defender is currently with Real Madrid’s senior team in the United States for the Club World Cup, featuring in a solitary game against Borussia Dortmund.
