Commanders playoff picture: Washington clinches postseason spot with Week 17 win vs. Falcons

The Commanders are one of the surprise teams in the NFL this year. They entered Week 17 at 10-5 after winning just four games last year, needing just one win or tie to clinch a spot in the postseason.

After defeating the Eagles last week, Washington remained alive in NFC East title contention, but after Philadelphia’s win earlier in the day, the Commanders had to settle for a playoff spot after a 30-24 OT victory over the Falcons on Sunday night.

Here’s where it stands in the NFC playoff picture.
