The Washington Commanders may have just been dealt a huge blow in trying to replicate and exceed Jayden Daniels’ impressive rookie season.
One of their key wide receivers is already holding out for a new contract in the form of Terry McLaurin.
And now on Wednesday, Noah Brown went down during 7-on-7 drills at minicamp.
The returning wideout was carted off the field, according to the Washington Post’s Nicki Jhabvala, and then he threw his helmet once he reached the sideline.

Nothing is a given, but that doesn’t sound good.
Brown’s highlight of 2024 was reeling in the game-winning Hail Mary touchdown against the Chicago Bears.
In all, Brown had 35 catches for 453 yards in his first season with the Commanders. He chose to re-sign this offseason and run it back.
Brown is now 29 years old. The former Ohio State star struggled to stick around early in his NFL career, but he has put together three solid seasons in a row — one apiece with the Cowboys, Texans and Commanders.
Washington was counting on Brown to be a consistent secondary target for Daniels again, but this might throw a wrench in those plans.
Commanders fans are certainly hoping for the best, because without Brown, their offense takes a step back in the depth department, especially with McLaurin’s status uncertain.
