Chelsea star Cole Palmer is all set to don a new shirt number for the next Premier League season.
The Englishman is set to wear the number 10 shirt for the upcoming season after spending two years with number 20 on his back.
The number 10 shirt at Chelsea was previously worn by Mykhailo Mudryk, a player who is yet to feature in 2025 due to a provisional suspension.
Palmer’s switch to the shirt number could be the biggest sign yet that Chelsea are not expecting a return for the Ukraine international in the immediate future.
Given how crucial the England international has proven to be for the Blues, it was only a matter of time before he was handed a more iconic number to represent that.

Cole Palmer takes the shirt number of one of his idols
The number 10 shirt is an iconic one at Stamford Bridge that has previously been worn by the likes of Eden Hazard, among others.
Palmer is a big fan of the Belgian and recently claimed that he would have loved to play alongside him.
Now that Palmer has inherited his idol’s shirt number, Chelsea fans will be hoping that he can go on to achieve greatness just like Hazard did at the club.
