The past few years — well, the past few decades — have been a rollercoaster for the Los Angeles Clippers. But with Kawhi Leonard and James Harden both healthy, and the Clips finding their groove in the second half of the 2024-25 regular season, Ty Lue’s squad seems poised to make a serious run at the 2025 NBA Finals.
It won’t be an easy ride, that’s for sure. Los Angeles faces one of the toughest tests of the first round of the postseason: facing three-time MVP Nikola Jokic and the 2023 NBA-champion Nuggets at Ball Arena in the mile-high altitude of Denver. If anyone can flip the script as a series underdog, it’s Kawhi Leonard. Whereas Joker has led one team to the Finals and hoisted a Finals MVP, Kawhi has done so twice for two different teams: San Antonio in 2014 and Toronto in 2019. In both Finals runs, he looked like the best player in the NBA. Now he’s got a sidekick in Harden, one of the best pure scorers in league history.
If Leonard leads the Clippers to the franchise’s first-ever title, he will be just the fifth player in NBA history to win the Finals with three different teams. If he wins Finals MVP, he will become just the second player ever to win the award with three different teams. The other guy to accomplish that milestone? LeBron James, a player Kawhi and the Clips could face in the semifinals. Talk about drama!

Clippers tickets for 2025 NBA Playoffs
Tickets for the Clippers’ 2025 playoff games are available now on StubHub.
Locked in as the No. 5 seed, Los Angeles begins the postseason in Denver facing Nikola Jokic and the 2023 NBA-champion Nuggets. The Clippers will play Games 3 and 4 at Intuit Dome, as well as Game 6 (if necessary). The first team to four wins advances to the second round.
Tickets are selling fast for every game of the Clippers’ playoff run. However, affordable options do remain. As of mid-April, the get-in price for Game 3 of the first round is $63. Tickets in Section 215, “The Wall,” run for a little over $200 each. Tickets closer to the court run for as little as $500 and as much as $2,343.

When do the Clippers play in the 2025 NBA Playoffs?
The (5) Clippers’ opening-round series against the (4) Nuggets will tip off on Saturday, April 19.
The start of the second round for all teams will depend on the completion of the first-round matchups. The Western Conference Finals are set to begin on Tuesday, May 20, and the NBA Finals will tip off on Thursday, June 5.
As the fifth seed in the Western Conference, the Clippers will travel to Denver to face the Nuggets in the first round. LA will get a maximum of three home games per series, unless it faces a lower seed in the NBA Playoffs.
