Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson did not have the best season in front of goal, scoring just 10 goals throughout the recently concluded Premier League season.
Additionally, he also faced disciplinary issues as he was sent off in the game against Newcastle United for elbowing Sven Botman in the face.
The incident meant that Chelsea were left without a recognised striker for the last two league games of the season.
Following Jackson’s performances this season, it was widely believed that the Blues would sign a world-class striker to increase competition for Jackson.
However, if a report by journalist Simon Phillips is to be believed, Chelsea are keen on signing not one, but two strikers.
And since the Senegalese striker is highly unlikely to accept being the third choice at Stamford Bridge, it could be the end of the road for him in a Chelsea shirt.

Who are the two strikers that Chelsea are likely to sign?
At this moment in time, Eintracht Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitike and Ipswich Town’s Liam Delap are the two No.9s who are said to be at the top of Chelsea’s shortlist.
However, landing both forwards will be difficult, especially since Eintracht want €100m for Ekitike and have no plans to negotiate with Chelsea, while the Blues face competition from Manchester United to sign Delap.
While Chelsea are hopeful of signing Delap after qualifying for the Champions League, they do face competition from Manchester United.
However, if Chelsea do end up signing both Delap and Etikite, it could well be the end of the road for Jackson at Chelsea.
