Chelsea are keen on parting ways with one of their attackers this summer; however, they find themselves in a race against time to do so.
Nicolas Jackson has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge all summer long, after the Blues began to address their goal-scoring woes in the summer transfer window.
Enzo Maresca’s team brought in Liam Delap and Joao Pedro this summer, and both of them have had an instant impact during the Club World Cup and pre-season, respectively.
Meanwhile, Jackson was nowhere to be seen in the matchday squad for either friendly against Bayer Leverkusen and AC Milan, with a host of other sides interested in signing him.
More importantly, Jackson himself has his heart set on a move away from Chelsea during this transfer window and has expressed interest in a move to Newcastle United.
While the Magpies do view Jackson as a viable transfer option, any move for him would depend on the possible departure of Alexander Isak.

What Chelsea plan to do with Nicolas Jackson if he does not leave the club this summer
As we enter the final few days of the transfer window, there is a strong possibility that no club will make an offer for Jackson.
More importantly, Chelsea are hoping to earn at least twice the amount they spent on Jackson in 2023, so that makes a potential deal even more difficult.
If the Blues are unable to sell the striker during the ongoing transfer window, they have come up with a contingency plan of keeping him at the club.
According to The Athletic, Jackson will be brought back into the first team setup if he does not leave, with him having the chance to compete for minutes again with his teammates.
Given the complications surrounding Jackson’s potential transfer, this may be the best possible solution for all parties involved.
However, how much football will Jackson be afforded if he remains at Stamford Bridge beyond this season is anybody’s guess.
