After Chelsea made several attacking additions to their side, Nkunku has fallen further down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge.
Therefore, it makes sense the Ls Bleus star is keen to leave in the ongoing transfer market and Villa are working on a transfer package.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Nkunku is not the only player on Villa’s current transfer radar as they still carry an interest in Jackson.
On paper, a move to Villa makes perfect sense for Nkunku, as it will give him an opportunity to establish himself in Emery’s starting XI and his FIFA World Cup dream alive for next summer.
Though the player has failed to nail down a position in Chelsea’s starting XI, he has shown the ability at other clubs, and a change of scenery might just be what’s needed to get the best out of him.
