The transfer window may be wide open, but Wesley Fofana isn’t planning on packing his bags anytime soon.
The Chelsea defender has responded firmly to earlier reports suggesting he could leave the club this summer.
With questions flying about his future — and even rumors linking him to Marseille and clubs in Saudi Arabia — Fofana has now made his position loud and clear.
That might not get him into the Club World Cup squad, but it will win him points with Blues fans.
Fofana has faced a tough road lately. After a long spell on the sidelines due to ACL and hamstring injuries, he made just 14 appearances across all competitions last season.
And with Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca leaving him out of the Club World Cup squad, speculation grew that the club might be ready to move on.

Wesley Fofana opens up on Chelsea future
Fofana’s name has been tossed around in transfer talks, especially as Chelsea look to raise funds and trim their squad.
In an interview reported by Euro-Football.ru, the 24-year-old Frenchman didn’t dodge the subject. His message? Simple and direct: “I am a Chelsea player and I am proud of it. I don’t want to go anywhere. I am happy here, thanks. Is that clear enough?”.

Reports suggest that as many as eight first-team players could be sold to make room for new signings — especially in defense.
But Fofana’s words sound like a defender ready to stay and fight for his spot.
French journalist Sebastien Vidal claimed earlier that there was mutual interest between Fofana and Marseille — but also mentioned that a permanent deal may only be possible for clubs with deep pockets.
That’s a not-so-subtle nod to Saudi interest.
Still, with a contract that runs until 2029, and a player eager to prove himself in blue, the ball might just stay at Stamford Bridge — at least for now.
