Chelsea set their sights on ‘one of the best’ strikers in Europe

Despite already signing Liam Delap and Joao Pedro over the summer transfer window, Chelsea have set their sights on landing another striker when the January window opens.

Along with the two above-mentioned strikers, the Blues also have Marc Guiu with them, although the youngster has not played a single minute of football for them so far.

Having already played for Sunderland this season, Guiu can play only for one more Premier League club this season.

It means that if Chelsea use him now, he will not be able to join another side on loan in January.

Additionally, Delap has been ruled out with a hamstring injury, and Pedro’s minutes need to be managed, given that he is the only other recognised striker at the club.

In this scenario, it’s understandable that Chelsea have set their sights on landing one of the most lethal marksmen in Europe, and they might be in with a chance of landing their man on a free transfer.

Chelsea set their sights on signing Dusan Vlahovic on a free transfer

Regardless of what happens with Guiu next year, it looks like Chelsea could sign a new striker amid fresh links with Juventus’ Dusan Vlahovic.

According to Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport, Chelsea are pursuing the 25-year-old and could have a great opportunity to land him in 2026.

The outlet claims that Vlahovic wants to leave Juventus on a free transfer next summer when his contract expires.

This is not the first time that Vlahovic has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge. In April, it was claimed that Chelsea were one potential suitor for Vlahovic heading into the 2025 summer transfer window.

The Blues signed Pedro and Delap instead, but perhaps it is something that they will revisit in the new year.
