Chelsea have received one major injury boost as the team returns to pre-season training ahead of the upcoming Premier League season.
The Blues are coming off the back of an extended last season, which culminated in them winning the FIFA Club World Cup in the USA, but now they have less than two weeks until the next domestic season kicks off.
Chelsea have a couple of pre-season fixtures at Stamford Bridge before their home game against Crystal Palace, and it will be a great opportunity for the fans to see new signings like Estevao Willian, Jamie Gittens and Jorrel Hato in action.
In the meantime, Enzo Maresca would be racking his brains to figure out which players make his strongest starting eleven for the season opener against Crystal Palace.
Maresca has been handed an injury boost as key defender Wesley Fofana has returned to first-team training.
Fofana’s timely return from injury is just what the doctor ordered for Chelsea, given the number of problems they faced at centre-back last season.

The defender posted pictures on his Instagram page, alongside the message: “They like to talk too much…”, as he looks to prove his doubters wrong in the upcoming 12 months.
The French defender is entering a key part of his career at Stamford Bridge on his return from injury.
Despite reportedly being one of Maresca’s favourites at the club, Fofana will need to ensure that he stays fit for the majority of the upcoming season.
This is also the only way that the play could ensure that he has a chance of playing at next year’s FIFA World Cup.
