Chelsea signed Liam Delap from Ipswich Town earlier this month, and the English forward is already making an impact for the Blues.
Delap set up Enzo Fernadez for Chelsea’s second goal against Los Angeles FC in the Club World Cup on Monday.
Despite the instant impact that Delap provided, if reports are to be believed, the Blues are not done shopping for strikers just yet.
According to UOL, Chelsea are preparing an offer to sign Pedro as they look to bring in another forward despite already having Delap and Nicolas Jackson.
They face competition, though, with the Brazilian outlet claiming that Newcastle United are also readying an offer for the 23-year-old.
Elsewhere, a report from talkSPORT claims that the Magpies are reluctant to get into a bidding war over Pedro, so Chelsea’s interest in him really complicates things for them.

More importantly, Chelsea have a history of doing business with Brighton, having snapped up Moises Caicedo, Marc Cucurella and Robert Sanchez from the Seagulls in the recent past.
Since arriving in England from Brazil in 2020, Pedro has played for both Brighton and Watford and racked up a decent goal record for them both.
Across his spells at those two clubs, the former Fluminense man has scored 54 goals, netting 10 times last season.
Pedro is not the most deadly forward in English football yet, but the Brazil international looks capable of bringing a goal threat to Chelsea. And still only 23 years of age, he has time to develop into a better finisher and goalscorer.
