Chelsea are reportedly moving fast to strike a late deal before the transfer window shuts.
As per Fabrizio Romano, The Blues are said to be in talks with Brighton for midfielder Facundo Buonanotte, a player who has quietly found himself at the center of plenty of attention this summer.

The 20-year-old Argentine looked bright in pre-season but has not featured in any of Brighton’s first two Premier League squads.
He also sat out the Carabao Cup win over Oxford United. That absence has fueled speculation, and now Chelsea are apparently hoping to take advantage.
Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler has been clear. “It’s so important that they have game minutes where they can improve. So we have to think about if the right club is here, or we might give him a loan where he gets more game minutes.”
His words leave the door wide open for a move.

Who is Facundo Buonanotte? The Brighton star linked with Chelsea
Buonanotte joined Brighton in 2023 from Rosario Central for around £7m and is tied to a contract until 2028.
A technical midfielder who can also play wide, he spent last season on loan at Leicester City, where he gained valuable Premier League minutes. He also has senior caps for Argentina, making his debut in June 2023.
Borussia Dortmund were linked earlier in the window, while West Ham and Leeds have been viewed as possible loan homes. A permanent bid, however, cannot be ruled out if Chelsea decide to step up.
Adding a twist, Buonanotte was reportedly due to fly to Leeds for talks, but that trip was canceled. Chelsea may now be ready to step in and grab the ball before anyone else kicks it.
Blues fans will be watching closely to see if this deal turns from rumor into reality.
