One of the biggest headaches for Chelsea going into the final weeks of transfer window has been how to get Joao Felix off their books.
The Portuguese international has struggled to nail down a spot in the Blues starting eleven since moving to the club, and spent last season on loan at AC Milan, where the Italian media heavily criticised him for his performances.
Earlier this week, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed former side Benfica were working hard to sign him ahead of the 2025/26 season.
However, there’s been multiple updates about Felix’s future since then, with a fresh twist over his expected destination.
Since that report from Romano, Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly asked Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr to sign his Portuguese compatriot, and the club have now made a formal approach as per BBC Sport.
Felix has reportedly responded to the move by giving the Saudi side a positive answer with a firm ‘yes’ to the move.

Joao Felix says ‘yes’ to Al Nassr’s proposal
According to reports, Benfica were keen on bringing Felix back to his boyhood club, but the Portuguese side have been dealt a blow as the player has agreed to Al Nassr’s proposal.
Romano took to X to reveal Felix has accepted a move to the Middle East and Benfica have now withdrawn their offer for the player.
The news comes as a boost for Ronaldo, who is set to link up with his international teammate at club level, with the veteran forward playing a key part in convincing Felix to join the Saudi side.
More importantly, from a Chelsea perspective, the Blues are set to receive a substantial amount of over £40m [$53m] for Felix.
Given that Felix has failed to have the desired impact at Stamford Bridge, it could be a great bit of business for Chelsea.
