After announcing the signings of Jeremie Frimpong, Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez, Liverpool are preparing for possible departures.
One of the players who could be leaving Anfield this summer is Harvey Elliot as the 22-year-old has failed to nail down a spot in Arne Slot’s starting eleven.
Liverpool would also be prepared to let Elliott go if the right offer came in, with the Reds expected to ask for as much as £50m for the England Under-21 international.
According to a report by CaughtOffisde, Chelsea are one of the teams keeping an eye on the situation, though Brighton have shown the strongest interest so far.
Along with Chelsea and Brighton, there has also been some interest from Aston Villa, Newcastle United, and Borussia Dortmund.
One well-placed source confirmed, however, that Brighton were the most likely to make a move soon.

Why Elliot to Chelsea makes sense
Chelsea’s interest in Elliot makes sense given that he fitts the kind of profile that the club has been signing under their current ownership.
Given the kind of quality that Elliot possesses, he will undoubtedly bring a lot of value to the Blues and bolster their attack even further.
More importantly, it gives Chelsea the opportunity to strengthen themselves by weakening one of their direct rivals.
