On the back of rife speculation all summer long, Chelsea have decided to stick with one player, despite him receiving stacks of criticism last season.
The Blues have been reportedly interested in signing a new goalkeeper throughout the summer transfer window, which has cast a cloud over the future of current No.1, Robert Sanchez.
However, Enzo Maresca has reportedly opted to continue with the Spaniard for the 2025/26 season, which may upset some Blues fans ahead of the new campaign.
The Italian coach enjoyed a successful debut season in charge at Stamford Bridge, clinching the UEFA Conference League title – to qualify for next season’s UEFA Champions League before also winning the recently-concluded FIFA Club World Cup.
Fans are keen to see if the arrivals of Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens and Joao Pedro can take the team to the next level, to compete for the Premier League trophy..
Chelsea were linked with a move for AC Milan’s goalkeeper Mike Maignan, and had reportedly agreed personal terms with him, before a deal for the French shot-stopper fell through.

Despite Sanchez’s struggles to win over the Chelsea faithful as first-choice, he is set to enjoy an extended run in goal in the months ahead.
The new lease of life is down to his impressive performances at the Club World Cup, where he redeemed himself to a certain extent.
According to TEAMtalk, Chelsea have decided to move into 2025/26 with Sanchez as No.1, in a clear show of faith in his return to form.
Maresca is willing to give him one more opportunity to win the fans over and the incoming campaign will decide his long-term future.
