Chelsea confident of signing Premier League star after UCL qualification

Chelsea managed to qualify for next season’s UEFA Champions League following a 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest on the last day of the 2024-25 Premier League season.

The result comes as a massive boost for Chelsea’s plans next season, especially with regards to transfers.

The Blues can now look forward to next season with anticipation and hope to attract some of the best players from other clubs to Stamford Bridge.

According to a report in the Chelsea Chronicle, One such player is Aston Villa winger Morgan Rogers, who has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea all through the season just gone by.

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca reportedly has a plan to make Rogers a part of the team, and one player who would be delighted with the deal is Cole Palmer.

The pair have a great relationship off the field, which would certainly transfer onto the pitch if they were to link up.

Meanwhile, Chelsea returned to the Champions League at the expense of Aston Villa, meaning Rogers is going to have to wait at least another year if he wants to play amongst the best in Europe again.

This could be Chelsea’s chance to sell the project to the attacker and convince him that his future should be in West London rather than at Villa Park.

Rogers represented Villa in the Champions League in the recently concluded season and proved that he is more than capable of competing at the highest level.

Chelsea can make a real statement this summer in the transfer market and in the process extend the gap between themselves and those who missed out on Champions League football this season.

Following Axel Disasi’s loan move, the relationship between the two clubs has improved, and the Blues will likely continue to be linked to Rogers as the summer goes on.
