Chelsea and Newcastle United differ in valuation for Chelsea star

Over the past few years, Newcastle United have made an uncanny habit of giving Chelsea players a second lease of life at St. James Park.

Both Tino Livramento and Lewis Hall have rejuvenated their careers since moving to Tyneside, and now it looks like the Magpies are seemingly back for another Chelsea player.

According to a report by CaughtOffside, Newcastle United have enquired about the availability of Chelsea star Noni Madueke in the ongoing summer transfer window.

Though the Englishman has established himself as a key player in Enzo Maresca’s first team, there have been reports that Chelsea feel his progress has stalled and he could be available for sale this summer.

It is explained that it is ‘unlikely’ the wide man will be allowed to leave Stamford Bridge, where he’s still currently under contract until 2030. This hasn’t stopped the Blues’ Premier League rivals asking for information about the player, though.

The report adds that Chelsea could be open to starting conversations about Madueke for a fee in the region of €60m (£50m). However, Newcastle currently value him closer to €40-42m (£33-35m).

Though Eddie Howe’s side would like to get Madueke for a discounted fee, it seems as though a lot will have to change for the deal to go through, as the sides are at least £15m apart on their valuations for the player.
