PSG are preparing for their biggest night in the history as they take on Inter Milan in the Champions League final on May 31.
While Paris will turn red and blue on Saturday; Marseille, a city located about 410 miles south in French territory, is witnessing an extraordinary occurrence as they see Inter Milan jerseys flying off the shelves.
Retailers across the southern French city, long considered hostile territory for PSG, are reporting a “crazy” increase in demand for Inter gear.
Speaking to BFM Marseille, a staff member at Foot.fr’s Plan de Campagne outlet said: “All year, no one asks for Inter shirts. Now it’s like the whole city is becoming Interista. It’s madness!”
The motivation is clear in Marseille supporters as they stand united in their desire to protect their club’s unique status as the only French team to have lifted the Champions League, a title secured in 1993.
As PSG edge closer to potentially rewriting history in Munich, thousands in Marseille are turning to retail as an act of resistance. One local summed it up succinctly: “Tous pour l’Inter.” Everyone for Inter.

Police on high alert in Marseille as PSG chase historic treble
Marseille’s police force has heightened security ahead of the UEFA Champions League final. Local authorities fear that a PSG victory could ignite unrest, particularly in a city fiercely protective of its football heritage.
“A PSG win could make some people lose their heads,” a Marseille police source told RMC Sport. “If you add in opportunistic delinquency, you get a recipe for a high-risk evening.”
The concern isn’t only about fans celebrating or mourning. Marseille’s rivalry with PSG runs deep.
With PSG chasing their first Champions League title and a historic treble, having already secured Ligue 1 and the Coupe de France — the threat of clashes between celebrating PSG fans and defiant OM ultras looms large.
Police say that even an Inter victory could lead to celebrations.
