Celtics vs. Knicks Player Props: Picks and Best Bets for Game 4

The New York Knicks and Boston Celtics are set to face off in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals at Madison Square Garden on Monday night, and there are some intriguing player prop bets to look at for the matchup.

After the Knicks pulled off two 20-point comebacks to win the first two games on the road, the Celtics turned in a performance in the 115-93 Game 3 win that was more in line with what was expected in this series.

When looking at the body of work for the Knicks and Celtics in the regular season,n along with what has taken place so far in this series, there are three prop bets that stick out for Game 4.

Celtics vs. Knicks Player Props for Game 4

Karl-Anthony Towns under 1.5 made threes

Karl-Anthony Towns is a key for the Knicks, and it has been a major struggle for him to find success from the outside. DraftKings odds are set at -230 for Towns to make under 1.5 threes in Game 4.

The Knicks big man is known for having a dangerous outside shot, but his team has struggled to generate opportunities for him on the outside in the first three games.

In the first two games of the series, Towns attempted just two shots from behind the arc and missed both. In Game 3, Towns went 1-5 from three. Opportunities have been hard to come by for him, and the ones he has found do not seem to be great looks.

The Celtics have proven to be a tough matchup for Towns, and I do not expect that to change in Game 4. Under 1.5 made threes for Towns is a good call.

Jayson Tatum over 10.5 rebounds

Jayson Tatum has been under fire for his performance in this series, and his lackluster shooting in the first two games was a big reason the Celtics fell in a 2-0 hole to start. However, part of why Tatum is regarded as a star player is his all-around game. DraftKings has the over/under set at 10.5 rebounds for Tatum, with -110 odds for the over.

During the regular season, Tatum averaged 8.7 rebounds per game. He easily cleared 10.5 in Game 1 with 14 boards, followed by another 14 in Game 2 and 9 in Game 3. Even though Tatum did not go over 10.5 rebounds in Game 3, he still led the Celtics in the game.

With Kristaps Porzingis out of the starting lineup and playing with an illness, Tatum is arguably the most important rebounder for Boston. Expect him to grab over 10.5 rebounds, especially if the matchup is closer than Game 3.

Payton Pritchard over 9.5 points

Payton Pritchard is a thorn in the side of many opponents, and that is no different in this series for the Knicks. He made a big difference with 23 points off the bench in Game 3. Pritchard’s over/under for points is set at 9.5 by DraftKings, and the over at -125 is a good move.

With many of the Celtics’ other top options drawing attention, Pritchard will almost always have an opportunity to turn in a good scoring night. He scored 13 in Game 1, shooting 3-6 from the field and 2-5 from three. He was not as good in Game 2, scoring 9 points on 3-9 shooting, with all of his attempts coming from three.

Joe Mazzulla played the hot hand in Game 3, as Pritchard shot 8-16 from the field and 5-10 from three in 35 minutes to score his 23 points.

Pritchard should have plenty of good looks to hit the over in Game 4, especially from beyond the arc. Look for him to make an impact against the Knicks again and hit the over on this prop bet.
