Celtics’ Payton Pritchard dropped 68 points in absurd offseason highlight performance

Payton Pritchard loves basketball.

That’s why the Boston Celtics guard was recently on the court in something called the Ball Don’t Stop Pro-Am.

The event was played at the University of Victoria in Canada, and it wasn’t Pritchard’s first time there. He had previously set the event scoring record in 2023 with 61 points.

This time around, he dropped 68.

The 6-foot-1 Pritchard doesn’t walk off the bus looking like a bucket-getter, but that’s exactly what he is.

He just won Sixth Man of the Year in the NBA after averaging 14.3 points per game and shooting 40.7% from 3-point range.

Pritchard also averaged 3.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 0.9 steals per game.

This offseason hooping is a good chance for Pritchard to continue expanding his scoring arsenal.

This is a season when the Celtics will need that scoring ability more than ever. Jayson Tatum won’t be out there due to his torn Achilles.

Aside from Jaylen Brown and Derrick White, a lot of the shots are going to have to come from Pritchard.

He certainly looks ready to let it fly and put the ball in the basket.

Whether it’s August or February or May, Pritchard loves being on the court. That will serve Boston well in this tricky season ahead.
