Being a Celtics fan hasn’t been fun for most over the past few weeks.
It feels like there’s a new trade rumor or update on each Celtic player almost every day.
Luckily, the Celtics’ assistant GM was able to ease the minds of fans with this important update recently.

What was the update?
Celtics writer Noa Dalzell posted on social media an answer she got from Mike Zarren, the Celtics’ assistant GM.
The question was centered around asking how legit the recent reports have been that the Celtics have been hearing offers on Brown and White.
Zarren answered that question, saying this:
Those two guys are really, really great NBA players. There hasn’t been anything close to serious about trading them. And so I’m not sure all this reporting came from. But those guys are key parts of our team, and we’re lucky to have them here.
It sounds like the reports weren’t as serious as they were made out to be.

Just because teams are inquiring about these players doesn’t mean the Celtics are going to entertain the offers.
White and Brown have been two key pieces to the overall puzzle that has led the Celtics to three Eastern Conference Finals appearances, two NBA Finals appearances and one championship, all in the last four postseasons.
They are fan favorites, and I think Celtics Nation would be sad to see either of them traded away.
