Celtic vs. Rangers live score: Scottish Premiership result, updates, stats, highlights as Diomande doubles Gers’ lead

Celtic are on the cusp of another Scottish Premiership title but arch rivals Rangers will want to make their path to glory as bumpy as possible in Sunday’s Old Firm derby.

Brendan Rodgers’ side will be two wins away from the championship if they beat Rangers, although their Glasgow neighbours won 3-0 in the previous meeting at Ibrox in January.

Rangers have since parted company with manager Philippe Clement and are under the charge of interim boss Barry Ferguson for the 445th edition of this famous fixture.

Following a two-year lockout, there are away fans in attendance, with 2,400 Rangers supporters making their way onto enemy territory.

On the pitch, Celtic are without captain Callum McGregor with a calf injury. Luke McCowan fills McGregor’s considerable shoes in midfield, while Maik Nawrocki makes his first start of the season at centre-back with Auston Trusty and Liam Scales absent from the matchday squad.

Ridvan Yilmaz comes in for Jefte on the left of Ferguson’s 3-4-2-1. It’s the only change from the starting lineup that faced Fenerbahce on Thursday in a Europa League clash that ended in a penalty shootout triumph.

4 mins: RASKIN GIVES RANGERS EARLY LEAD! Celtic have ambled out of the blocks here and Rangers are all over them, perhaps inspired by the return of those travelling fans. Schmeichel pushed a shot from Raskin behind but from the resulting corner he rose to divert home a fabulous header at the near post.
