What category did Darius Garland recently pass Kyrie Irving in?
The Cavs drafted Darius Garland back in 2019, and he’s developed into one of the better point guards in the NBA.
His tenure with the Cavs has passed by so quickly, that at the end of the 2024-25 NBA regular season, Garland passed Irving for games played as a Cavalier.
Garland has now played 382 games in Cleveland, while Irving played 381 (@TheCavsJack on X).

This isn’t to say that Garland has had a better legacy in Cleveland, but for Irving to be such an iconic name tied to the Cavs, it’s crazy to see that Garland has already been there longer than Irving was.
Another layer to this is that those two totals for games played could be final, as the Cavs could move Garland this offseason for financial flexibility reasons.
