During the 2022 NBA season, the Phoenix Suns put a curse on their team.
At least that’s what fans around the league think.
The Suns posted a video of the team working out in the tunnel after a regular-season win. A month and a half later, Phoenix lost in the Western Conference semifinals in an embarrassing fashion to the Dallas Mavericks.
The Suns’ loss to the Mavericks in Game 7 has been talked about since. Luka Doncic and the Mavericks won 123-90, in what was one of the biggest surprises in the NBA that season.
Since then, any workout video posted on social media gets met with fans worried their favorite team might’ve jinxed themselves.
The latest to do it was the Cleveland Cavaliers. Forward Isaac Okoro posted the team working out, and fans believe there might be a curse on them because of it.

While hilarious, this shouldn’t be the end all be all for the Cavaliers. However, if they lose in the playoffs to a team that shouldn’t be on the same court as them, fans will certainly look back at that video.

Superstitions are real to many, and if this one stays true, bad days are ahead for the Cavaliers, who have a commanding 4.5 game lead in the Eastern Conference.
58-14 overall, Cleveland has played excellent basketball all season and looks poised to make a big run in the postseason.
Hopefully, Okoro’s video won’t mess that up.
