Caroline Dubois vs. Jessica Camara odds, predictions, betting trends: Expert pick for 2025 boxing fight

Caroline Dubois looks to prove she’s worthy of holding gold when she defends the WBC lightweight title against Jessica Camara on January 11. The fight in Sheffield airs on Peacock in the U.S. and Sky Sports in the U.K.

The 23-year-old Dubois (10-0) is a former 2018 Youth Olympics gold medalist. The sister of IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois beat Maira Moneo in August for the interim WBC title and was elevated to full-time champion after Katie Taylor vacated. “Sweet Caroline” has five wins via knockout.

Already establishing herself at a young age, a confident Dubois is ready to compete in unification fights. First, she must get past a game Camara.

Caroline Dubois vs. Jessica Camara prediction, best bets

While young, Dubois already showcases the skills of a veteran.

The London-born fighter learned boxing by observing the styles of Sugar Ray Leonard and Marvelous Marvin Hagler. Dubois’ skills reflect that, as she showcases the perfect blend of the technical and power side of boxing. She is fast on her feet and not afraid to press forward when needed.

Dubois’ hand and feet speed was too much for Maira Moneo to handle, earning a wide unanimous decision win for interim gold. Her hooks are deadly, as seen when she knocked Moneo down in the sixth. The right hook is her calling card, using that and straight lefts against Miranda Reyes.

Camara’s biggest win was a split decision ruling against former world champion Hyun Mi Choi. The Canadian overwhelmed Choi with right hands late in the fight and counter lefts. Volume was key in this fight, as Camara’s output was too much for Choi to handle.

Camara won against Choi and Heather Hardy and has faced tough competition in Kali Reis and Melissa St. Vil. She is a fighter with experience Dubois has only dreamed of. Can she use that to her advantage?

While Camara can present a challenge, Dubois’ skills are just too impressive to ignore. Dubois can strike when needed and uses her defense to even hurt her opponent. Dubois looks to compete in a few months and unify the division. It may not be a knockout win, but she should control the fight until the final bell.

Sporting News prediction: Dubois via unanimous decision
