Cardinals’ fans make voices heard, on pace for lowest attendance since 1995

While Busch Stadium used to be a place packed with St. Louis Cardinals fans, that is not so much the case this season. Not much was expected from this club going into the 2025 season, and the current under .500 club is not bringing the fans to the ballpark.

Fans are frustrated with the state of the team, and they are making their voices heard. The attendance numbers throughout this season have seen a huge decrease from past seasons. If this trend continues, like many expect, they will hit their lowest attendance rate since 1995, excluding the COVID year.

According to Fox 2’s Joey Schneider, “Through 65 home games, the Cardinals have generated a total attendance of 1,873,875, based on the metrics of tickets sold. Right now, that’s an average attendance of around 28,829. If that pace remains similar through the regular season’s end, the Cardinals are on pace for a season attendance of roughly 2,335,137.”

Chaim Bloom has his work cut out for him in 2026

After the 2025 season comes to an end, Chaim Bloom will take over as the Cardinals’ new president of baseball operations. All eyes will be on him as he tries to bring St. Louis the success that the fanbase has been used to over the past few decades.

The club is missing star players who brought them success, like Albert Pujols, Adam Wainwright, and Yadier Molina. Bloom needs to find this team’s next group of stars and hopefully get the fans back in Busch Stadium.
