Cardinals activate Jordan Walker off injured list ahead of Brewers game

The St. Louis Cardinals are in the middle of a very important series against the Milwaukee Brewers. A series win could put the Cardinals in good shape to contend for a postseason spot, but a loss could knock them out and force them to become sellers at the MLB trade deadline.

While there is still plenty of time remaining for the Cardinals to rebound if they lose the series, a win would go a long way. Fortunately for the Cardinals, they are getting one of their players back in the lineup.

According to the Cardinals on Twitter/X, they have activated outfielder Jordan Walker off the injured list and optioned outfielder Michael Siani to Memphis (AAA).

Siani didn’t play much for the Cardinals in 2025. He appeared in 19 games, logging just five starts and 17 total at-bats. In his limited at-bats, Siani hit .235 with four hits, four runs scored, two walks, and seven strikeouts.

Walker, through the first 47 games he appeared in for the Cardinals in 2025, wasn’t his best self. He batted .215 with three home runs and 23 RBIs across his 158 at-bats. He has 18 runs scored, four doubles, one triple, and only 11 walks to 57 strikeouts.

His offensive production for the Cardinals hasn’t been great in 2025. But, Walker has some of the most intriguing potential of anyone on the Cardinals roster. Adding a player like him to the lineup is exciting, and if he can turn things around like he did in his rookie season, there could be a lot of fun to be had with the 23-year-old Cardinals outfielder.
