Callum Simpson and Steed Woodall open what could be a busy year for British boxing on January 11.
The fight for Simpson’s British and Commonwealth super middleweight titles in Sheffield’s Park Community Arena airs on Peacock in the U.S. and Sky Sports in the U.K.
Simpson (15-0) has 10 wins via knockout. The 28-year-old from Barnsley beat Zak Chelli in August for the British and Commonwealth belts, a massive unanimous decision win in front of family and friends.
The Chelli fight was on his home grounds of Barnsley, proving he could be a force in a crowded British boxing scene. Now, he looks to elevate himself to the next level.

“Every fight I have, I’m trying to tick different boxes,” Simpson told Boxing Scene.
“My last one was about solidifying myself at British level. How would I handle the atmosphere? Doing all the media obligations in the build-up to the fight. Getting on the biggest stage in front of my hometown.
“So much pressure on my shoulders. I ticked all those boxes.
“I try to enjoy the pressure. There’s only pressure on you because people believe in you. I take confidence and pride in that.
“The next fight, I’ll hopefully tick some more boxes.”
A five-time National and two-time British Champion, Woodall (19-2-1) had a seven-fight win streak snapped in 2023 against Padraig McCrory.
He rebounded with a knockout win in June against Lerrone Richards, the twelfth win for “The Stallion” via the power punch.
A women’s title fight headlines the Callum Simpson vs. Steed Woodall undercard, while local talent look to impress.
