Caitlin Clark golf score today: Live updates, highlights, results from WNBA star at LPGA ‘The Annika’ Pro-Am

Caitlin Clark is back in competition this week — just not on the basketball court.

The WNBA sensation may be in the offseason for her hoops schedule, but she is keeping herself busy in the sporting world. Clark took part in the Pro-Am portion of “The Annika” this week, an LPGA event hosted by golf legend Annika Sorenstam.

A star herself, the 22-year-old was paired with World No. 1 golfer Nelly Korda. Clark got the chance to compare her game against the American, who is a two-time major champion and an Olympic gold medalist.

The competition took place at Pelican Golf Club in Bellaire, Fla., and considering Clark’s popularity in the sporting world, more eyes than ever were on the field competition in the Pro-Am.

The Sporting News tracked all her highlights and results from the Pro-Am at “The Annika.”

Caitlin Clark live updates, results, highlights from ‘The Annika’ golf tournament

All times Eastern

12:50 p.m.: There is a MASSIVE crowd looking to get an autograph from Clark at the Pelican Golf Club. You don’t see these types of crowds at most pro-am golf tournaments, but that is the impact Clark has on the sports world at the moment.

11:45 a.m.: Clark is getting the chance to take in legend Annika Sorenstam as her partner for the back nine, and the Swede did not disappointed with an excellent chip shot.

11 a.m.: Most Pro-Ams have only a handful of spectators, and competing individuals have ever fewer. That’s not the case with Clark, as a large crowd is following her progress from hole-to-hole, getting the chance to watch her dominate another sport.

10:50 a.m.: Clark is known for her exceptional ability on the basketball court, but where did her love of golf come from? She shared during her time at the Pro-Am that it was her dad, Brent, that got her into the sport at an early age.

9:31 a.m.: How about that putting game? Clark once again shows off her ability to read a green and places a long putt close to the pin for an easy follow-up.

8:37 a.m.: Clark shows off her approach game, hitting one of her iron shots right onto the middle of the green.

8:15 a.m: Clark shows off her short game, sinking a putt and giving a fist bump

8:05 a.m.: Not a bad partner to have. Clark is playing with World No. 1 Nelly Korda for the first nine holes at “The Annika.” Later, host Annika Sorenstam will be with the basketball star on the back nine.

7:38 a.m: Clark gets a standing ovation from the crowd as she tees off on the third hole.

7:30 a.m: Clark is just like us. She nearly takes out a member of the crowd early in her round, as she pulls her tee shot into the water.

Caitlin Clark tee time

  • Date: Wednesday, Nov. 12
  • Tee time: 7 a.m. ET

Clark will start her round with the first group at 7 a.m. ET on Wednesday, Nov. 12. The group will consist of Korda and Sorenstam (professionals) as well as Clark, Dan Towriss and Jason Rickard (amateurs).

Is Caitlin Clark good at golf?

According to ESPN, Clark has a handicap of “around 16”, and that she is capable of shooting “in the low 80s.”

Shooting in the low 80s for someone who is doing it in their free time is an incredibly strong score, so, yes, Clark is good at golf. She won’t be jumping on the LPGA Tour anytime soon, but considering she is taking part in Pro-Am competitions, she must be good enough to hang with the best female golfers.
