The Eagles’ 40-22 win over the Chiefs in Super Bowl 59 gave Philadelphia a lot of ammo for trash-talk, especially for veteran safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson. But in the aftermath, Gardner-Johnson appeared to start a beef between one of the fiercest fanbases out there.
Taylor Swift’s connection with the Chiefs since the start of her relationship with Travis Kelce in 2023 means Swifties have adopted Kansas City as their football team. The Super Bowl loss left them feeling the sting of disappointment.
After the game, after Gardner-Johnson talked trash to Travis Kelce, adding insult to injury for the Swifties — though they may have crossed a line when trying to exact their revenge.

Gardner-Johnson is known for his trash-talk, as the veteran defensive back is not afraid to mix it up with his opponent. So, when the Eagles won the Super Bowl, it’s no surprise that Gardner-Johnson talked trash, with most of it directed at Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift on social media.
Upset at Gardner-Johnson’s words, Swifties seemed to be taking it out on his parents — or rather, their restaurant. King’s Grill in Rockledge, Florida, found itself hit by a deluge of bad reviews.
While some of the reviews have criticism attached, a lot of them just have one out of five stars with no reasoning behind the rating. Additionally, a lot of the ratings were given by accounts who never gave a restaurant rating before.
In response, Eagles fans have been giving positive reviews to Johnson’s restaurant in attempts to raise the rating back up.

But C.J. Gardner-Johnson’s mom, Del Johnson, told TMZ that they’re not worried at all. That restaurant has been closed since January, and she and husband Brian Johnson now own a restaurant in Cocoa, Florida, named Village Bier Garten.
