Bulls legend gets real about Michael Jordan, LeBron James relationship

A three-time Chicago Bulls champion has gotten honest about the relationship between generational superstars LeBron James and Michael Jordan.

Longtime NBA insider Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson recently recently reflected that, although its strained now, Lakers great James may be able to build a better rapport with Jordan whenever his playing days are truly behind him.

During a new conversation with Martin Soaries on The Basketball Society Podcast, Robinson weighed in on what he expects to be the changing nature of the superstars’ relationship.

Michael Jordan, not one for GOAT talk

“I think Michael and LeBron’s conversations will enhance more when LeBron is towards the end, which could happen sooner rather than later,” Robinson said. “A lot of people feel like LeBron was chasing Michael’s ghost, which was part of the reason why LeBron never joined the Chicago Bulls.”

Now, one of Jordan’s most trusted teammates during his second dynasty run in Chicago, 1995-96 through 1997-98, has weighed in on the relationship between Jordan and James.

In response to the conversation being shared on both The Basketball Society and Robinson’s Instagram pages via a collaboration post, Robinson reports that Ron Harper himself weighed in — although the comment has since been wiped.

“MJ wouldn’t give a [poop emoji] about this BS,” Harper wrote, per Robinson. “He never cared for the GOAT talk and anything else.”
