The Milwaukee Bucks have reportedly wasted little time picking up a new piece after the official end of the 2025 NBA Draft’s second round.
The Bucks used their lone pick this year, No. 47, on Mega Basket power forward/center Bogoljub Markovic. It’s expected that Markovic will spend at least another season developing overseas.

Sources inform Shams Charania of ESPN that two-time consensus All-American Mark Sears is inking a two-way contract with Milwaukee.
The Athletic’s Sam Vecenie had listed the 6-foot-1 guard out of Alabama as his No. 60 best prospect among this year’s crop.
A three-time All-Southeastern Conference honoree, Sears averaged 18.6 points on .403/.345/.844 shooting splits, 5.1 dishes, 2.9 boards, and 0.9 steals in 37 games during his 2024-25 season with the Crimson Tide, where he was a fifth-year senior.
Sears began his NCAA career with the Ohio University Bobcats in 2020-21, and was a 2022 All-Mid-American Conference First Team honoree.
Although Sears may be a bit undersized at the NBA level, he could get some real minutes on a Bucks club looking for major backcourt help for much of 2025-26.
Nine-time All-Star Milwaukee point guard Damian Lillard tore his Achilles tendon during an eventual five-game first round playoff series defeat to the Indiana Pacers. His highest-upside backup, Kevin Porter Jr., has a $2.5 million player option for next year and could choose to move on.
Lillard is one of a whopping three Eastern Conference All-Stars to tear their Achilles during the playoffs this year, along with Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum and Indiana Pacers point guard Tyrese Haliburton.
