The Milwaukee Bucks are in a challenging position. However, whatever the team does has to be centered around what Giannis Antetokounmpo wants them to do.
Antetokounmpo, perhaps the best player in the NBA, is the franchise for Milwaukee.
If he wants them to trade for a player, that’s what needs to happen.
Antetokounmpo has already shown that multiple times in recent years, but it’ll be challenging now with limited assets and an injured Damian Lillard.
Lillard, who ruptured his Achilles, could be out for the entire season next year.
If that’s how it all plays out, the Bucks could look to get creative and make a trade involving him.
While that’s possible, they need to avoid the latest one from Bleacher Report, which suggested the Bucks trade for Bradley Beal of the Phoenix Suns.
“The idea here is simple, but it hinges on Giannis Antetokounmpo staying in Milwaukee.
“Lillard’s ruptured Achilles means he’s not going to help next season. Beal, despite enduring slippage in Phoenix, is going to be the more valuable contributor in 2025-26 by default. If he likes the idea of settling in as the clear No. 2 option to a superstar instead of trying to find his way as a No. 3 in Phoenix, he could waive his no-trade clause and allow a deal to proceed,” Grant Hughes wrote.

The Bucks have shown interest in Beal in the past, according to reports, but at this stage of his career, he’s a negative.
Factor that in with his horrible contract, and unless Antetokounmpo specifically goes up to Milwaukee’s front office and asks for him, there shouldn’t be much thought here.
Even then, the front office should put its foot down and let the Greek Freak know that they don’t want anything to do with the Suns dud.
