Bryce Harper and his wife are expecting their fourth child, but he didn’t know the gender of their new baby until Monday night.
Instead of a gender reveal party, Harper discovered the gender of his new child in a more creative and fitting way: by the color of a baseball bat.
During Monday night’s game against the Giants, Phillies shortstop Trea Turner gave Harper a blue bat to use in the first inning, a signal that he and his wife are having a boy.

Amazingly, this isn’t even the first time a Phillies player has done a gender reveal this season. Earlier this month, Bryson Stott helped reveal the gender of a fan’s baby by wearing a pink armband to the plate in a game.

While the previous gender reveal was for someone at home, the latest iteration was more personal for the Phillies’ best player.
